Father's Day Card!

Hello my crafty friends,

A quick post of the Father's Day card I made for my 74 year old dad! He LOVES grilling and eating steak! So I came up with this idea for a card for him. I printed the sentiment from my computer, used Everyday Paperdolls for "my dad", the grill and the steak!!! It's simple, but I really like the way it turned out. He liked it too. I even made the little guys hair to match my dads...Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Dawn

Wobble Wednesday Challenge

Hi everyone!!!! Hope you are all enjoying the day! I wanted to share with you a card that my mother and I made for my niece who is having her first child in June. We are excited to welcome a new little one into the family! It will be my mother's 9th great grandchild. YEAH! Anyway, we made this card using the baby buggy from Cricut Cartridge Simply Charmed. We used single sheet paper from Hobby Lobby and the stamp is from Autumn Leaves that I bought from a Scrapbook store when I went to visit my kids and grandkinds in northern Arkansas. We love the way it turned out! Oh, and my favorite part, we put the buggy on an Action Wobble, how fun is that...

I am entering this card in the Wobble Wednesdays Challenge! Thanks everyone for stopping by!

Monster High?????

Hi everyone,
Thought I better stop being so scared and try to post something with this new blogger format...
Last month my daughter ask me if I could help make some party decorations for one of my granddaughters 9th birthday party. Even though I live 3 1/2 hours away, I knew I wanted to help. The theme, MONSTER HIGH!!!!! What the heck is Monster High, I asked!!!!  My daughter explained that its the latest fad with shocking pink, black, skeletons, and bats... Mmmmm, interesting. So I got started!

These are the little cupcakes pokes I made using cardstock, toothpicks and Hello Kitty Greetings cricut cartridge...

Some "girly" skeletons I made for my daughter to use for the party to decorate wherever she wanted to put them. (kinda creepy, but cute in a fun sort of way)!! She ended up putting one on top of the cake...

And finally, the card I made for Caily to match all the decorations. Sorry about the quality of the photo, I NEED a new camera! Well, I guess I did it, posted with this new blogger format. Going to take awhile to get used to this! (wonder why they couldn't just leave it the way it was?) Thank you for stopping by.  Hugs, Dawn

Finally A Card!!!!

Hello my bloggy friends,After what seems like forever, I was finally able to make a card. Today was my day off, no appointments to go to, nothing pressing had to be done, so cardmaking I did!!! I like the way this one turned out. Actually, I was making a birthday card with bright vibrant colors, for one of my grandsons, then I remembered I wanted to make a card for the www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com challenge for this week. I love the bible verse that there using, love their blog,  and haven't entered a card in a challenge for a looong time. So "drum roll" please.....

Here is my recipe:
Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangles
A cream crocheted flower I made (with a pearl in the middle)
Cotton lace from my stash
Handmade ribbon from my GREAT friend Karen at http://karen-mycuprunnethover.blogspot.com Thank you sooo much Karen!!
Paper from Colorbok (Walmart)
Butterfly from Fashion Accessories (I think I purchased them at Walmart also)
Bible verse is from wordartwednesday for this weeks challenge.

I love this verse! It really hits home right now, since I am waiting to hear about a job I interviewed for that would be alot closer to home. I get anxious about changing jobs (AT MY AGE) and I need to be reminded, to just be still, listen, and know that God is in control. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Dawn
