Finally A Card!!!!

Hello my bloggy friends,After what seems like forever, I was finally able to make a card. Today was my day off, no appointments to go to, nothing pressing had to be done, so cardmaking I did!!! I like the way this one turned out. Actually, I was making a birthday card with bright vibrant colors, for one of my grandsons, then I remembered I wanted to make a card for the www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com challenge for this week. I love the bible verse that there using, love their blog,  and haven't entered a card in a challenge for a looong time. So "drum roll" please.....

Here is my recipe:
Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangles
A cream crocheted flower I made (with a pearl in the middle)
Cotton lace from my stash
Handmade ribbon from my GREAT friend Karen at http://karen-mycuprunnethover.blogspot.com Thank you sooo much Karen!!
Paper from Colorbok (Walmart)
Butterfly from Fashion Accessories (I think I purchased them at Walmart also)
Bible verse is from wordartwednesday for this weeks challenge.

I love this verse! It really hits home right now, since I am waiting to hear about a job I interviewed for that would be alot closer to home. I get anxious about changing jobs (AT MY AGE) and I need to be reminded, to just be still, listen, and know that God is in control. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Dawn

Good luck on the challenge! I love it. It seems sort of vintage-y (new word!!!) It all works so well together. I will be going over to check out the blog hosting the contest. Best of luck with news on the job front. Job front news creates so many emotions. Just remember if He brings you to it He will bring you through it! Great to see a card! hugs Jen

Your pretty card reminds me of a warm comfortable quilt. We also find comfort in these words from Psalm 40. It is comforting to know that God is there.

Thanks for your sweet comment. I'm sure that you are as much of a blessing to the people you work with as they are to you. You have a big heart, and it shows! As far as the seam binding bows go....I tie one bow real tight, adhere it, and then tie another bow (using a separate piece of the seam binding) and adhere that on top. It seems to give it a better overall look. Hope that helps.
